LAN Management Workstations |
-
For LAN administration workstations and cable management, we use Hubbell TM
products. Hubbell is a leading manufacturer of industrial products,
including these server workstations, cabinets and vertical racks.
Our product line choice for a sturdy,
affordable, and a well designed product is clear among the emerging
technologies today. Hubbell is one of the oldest innovators of electronics
and industrial mechanical products in the world, they remain among the
most progressive.
As an industrial innovator of the 1800's
Hubbell led the world in the use of ingenuity and design. Development of
switching products in the early 1900's and technology products of the
twentieth century rival their competition. Hubbell contributes to both venues of progress: new product design
and manufacturing innovation.

Premises Wiring and Termination
|
- Our selection for a stable and reliable clear packet, communication,
network physical layer is aided by the premises wiring products of ADI
Inc. Richmond. Their strife to provide all quality products, with the
philosophy of a best of breed inventory for network and security
products, business telephone and office automation devices, provides
the leading edge competitiveness for quality in technology. Through
these means, we are able to bring these best of breed technologies to
our clients.
ADI has demonstrated a level of service to our needs that allows us
to provide a broad array of products from biometric security to network
products and supplies. We have always found their team of professionals
to be more than accommodating and helpful at all lengths.

Fiber optic
Termination
|
- In 1998 we received our training and certification for joining fiber
optic cable and performing field certification of the single and
multimode products. Fiber optic conduits are the best solution for
security, speed, and efficiency of moving multiple streams of
information across distances.
The communications age has joined data and voice to create the need
for fiber channels. Fiber optic's intended role in our modern networks
has come full circle seeking a need to provide an adequate pipe to carry
data from point to point. A good analogy for the fiber optic technology
would be the subway
system found in many large cities... We take for granted that the quick
jaunt from stop to stop, will carry us to our destination, safe and
secure. The subway is a good model for comparison when considering the
locomotive has advanced from steam to electric, bringing terrific speed
and efficiency to travel. The same can be said for our change from
copper to fiber optic media... The evolution of the "business
standards" for communication has come to a point where the
proprietary voice channels must make strides to exist within the data
frame and bandwidth. Cable technologies have made this impact on our telephony
changes and a move to depart from proprietary technologies requiring a
separate redundant physical layer for communication. These merging telephony devices
are bringing our networks to a single strand of fiber, capable of
supporting all needs, present and future. - At least until an
enterprising inventor/innovator creates the next communication media!
Fiber optic will, for awhile, exist as a means of joining multi-homed
LANs over longer distances.

- Staying with the thought, "a sound network and physical
layer," with all the speed and efficiency of fiber optic, it is a
good idea to mention economics. Though it would be terrific to have a
fiber optic LAN, it is a bit impractical to invest in the switching
needs of fiber hubs and NICs at today's prices. LANs and WANs are
deeply steeped in copper CAT5 premises wire to make the PC networks
chat with one and another. There are adequate advances made in the category
certified copper cable used in our networks of today. The helical
twist and the even interval of the "twist technology"
achieve highspeed communication through copper, 24 AWG UTP cable. (24
gauge Unshielded Twisted Pair Wire Cable) The standard of today is the
Cat5e 24 AWG UTP highspeed copper cable. These category products are
switched and directed by a myriad of hubs, routers and switches.
We prefer Cisco and 3Com hubs/switches to sentinel the switching of
LAN packets, reducing collisions over the network processes from peer to
peer. Quality and economics dictate the standards chosen for your
network appliance.
